To ensure that research is conducted safely, without harm to the researcher or participants, ISEF outlines a strict set of regulations. There are many restrictions on the use of Vertebrate Animals, Human Participants, Recombinant DNA, Microorganisms, Human/Animal Tissue, and chemicals or activities deemed hazardous by the Review Committee. Every participant, regardless of their research topic, must complete a series of forms at ISEF. The following are required forms at ISEF:
- Form 1 Checklist for Adult Sponsor.Safety Assessment Form
- Form 1A Student Checklist. Research Plan
- Form 1B Approval Form
- Form 1C Regulated Research Institutional.Industrial Setting Form
- Form 2 Qualified Scientist Form
- Form 3 Risk Assessment Form
